Welcome to the photographs of Michael Anderson.
Everyone expects a photograph to be of something... Michael's interest is to find beauty and mystery in unexpected places, making images that are not immediately recognizable but that attract the eye and mind. These images often push the boundary of what it means to be a photograph, through the material selected or through the techniques used.
His more conventional work has a strong sense of design; some images emphasize line, others balance masses. Michael works in both monochrome and colour
Michael has been making photographs since the 1960s, using 35mm, medium-format and digital cameras.
